Amazon announced yesterday that it will hire 125,000 more people in the United States with salaries of 18 to 22.50 dollars per hour in 18 states, including New York, California and Texas. According to the statement , these are new places in warehouses and transport that add to another 40,000 new jobs announced earlier this month.
The places are now available and the new full-time jobs are accompanied by benefits that include health insurance with various benefits plus a 50% contribution to the retirement plan and up to 20 weeks of paid parental leave.
Amazon recalls that it opened more than 250 warehouses, sorting and delivery centers this year and will open more than a hundred new stores this month alone. The company has hired more than 450,000 people in the US since the pandemic began.
